Have you been to Playa del Carmen? When I first discovered it in 1994, it was just a sleepy little fishing village down on the Yucatan coast. Now, it’s a chic beach destination with trendy bars and plenty of beautiful people. This particular day, I woke up before dawn thinking I would be the only person out and about (besides the partiers trickling out of the nightclubs). I headed out to this serene beach area away from the crowds and to my surprise, there were plenty of other folks up at this hour just to see the sunrise. I was the only one with a camera, while it seemed like they just wanted to enjoy the moment. We nodded to each other as if we were in on a little secret. I took a few shots while everyone admired the slow rising light. After the sun came up, everyone said goodbye and we slowly made our way back home.

I’ve been to Playa many times with my wife. I remember when it was just a quiet little town. We still go back often cause we both love the beaches there. Great photo. Do you have any more?

I’m here having fun with your pictures trying to figure it out which one is my favorite… I love them all! They are all so unique and amazing in their own ways… But I think I just made up my mind about this one: Sunset, beach, and boats! You can’t beat that combination! 🙂
Thanks @[711343215:2048:Clarice]. I am glad you like them so much. According to my Google stats, everyone seem to love the beach photos. This was one of the first photos I took when I started getting serious about photography. Maybe that’s why it’s one of my favorites, too.
