Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy the various photos and tales about my travel adventures. I have always loved to travel and this site is my way of sharing it with the world.
Let's see...
I have attended 4 FIFA World Cups and making plans for #5.
I have run with the bulls in Pamplona...twice. And lived to tell about it.
I celebrated Carnaval in Rio once. And lived to tell about it.
I hiked the Inca Trail for 4 grueling days until finally arriving at Machu Picchu.
I have scuba dived the beautiful coral sea in the Carribean.
Yet, I feel as though I am barely getting started. There is so much more to discover.
I will be adding more content so check back frequently. If you are a travel aficionado, let me know where you are in the world and maybe our paths will cross. Enjoy!
I found this classic Buick taxi while walking among the cobbelstone streets of Old Havana. You can’t walk a block in Havana without encountering a classic car of some sort. There are thousands scattered all over Cuba.
This is where Hemingway lived when he arrived in Havana back in 1939. His room is still as he left it. He lived there for 7 years but stayed in Cuba for 21 years. Must have been some pretty good mojitos. Click photo for a big surprise
The best way to get around Havana is via bicycle. You can admire the beautiful, multi-colored architecture along its cobblestone streets and then head off to drink a mojito…or two. Click photo for a big surprise
I had previously posted a similar image last year. The lady in the center was barking at me cause I started taking a photo before leaving a donation. Hey, art before commerce lady! Click photo for a big surprise
Everywhere you walk around in Havana, you will encounter two things: classic American cars in pristine condition and old buildings in various state of disrepair. They are both remnants of another era in this timeless city. Click photo for a big surprise
I am so excited that baseball season has finally begun. I practically grew up playing baseball on the streets with my friends. Just like this little fella who I stumbled upon in the streets of Old Havana. That’s one thing I can appreciate about Cubans. They are as passionate about baseball as I am. Play […]
If you want to get to know the city of Havana, just start walking. All the colors, sounds, and aromas of the city come alive. Then take a break and have a mojito. Click photo for a big surprise
This is my travel buddy Robert. We have been friends since high school and I have had the good fortune of sharing some of my most memorable trips alongside him. We have ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain on two separate occasions, celebrated many World Cup victories in Germany06 and France98, and in 2005 […]
The Capital building of Havana towers over the nearby streets and residential buildings. It was modeled after the US Capitol and was the center of government from its construction in 1928 until the Cuban revolution of 1959. Since then it has been used as the Ministry of Science and Technology. Although, I have to admit […]
No, I did not travel back in time to 1955 to get this shot. Truth is, you can probably witness this scene pretty much every day in Havana. These classic cars are in pristine condition and being driven everywhere. I actually think you will find them in much better condition in the smaller towns outside […]
